Western Reserve Historical Society
of Cleveland
Soccer Exhibit

The Western Reserve Historical Society of Cleveland held their first annual soccer exhibit. As many of you know Sport Club Donauschwaben had many firsts in the development of youth soccer in our city, state and the nation.

It was only right to accept an invitation to take part in this exhibit of soccer history with our 50th anniversary display and to be the first and only soccer club participating in this event.

It is our intent to make our illustrious history known in the greater Cleveland area and what better way to do this than at the Historical Society of Cleveland. We have agreed to take part again next year and provide the Historical Society with material and pictures from our past and from our many contributing members to the sport of soccer.

On hand were many soccer stars from past Cleveland professional teams, among them our own Walter Schlothauer, his son and mother. We would like to congratulate Scott Longert, his wife and his staff for putting on such a wonderful exhibit which was extremely well attended, not only by formers player but also soccer personalities of the past.

Congratulation and best wishes for future successes.
